Are you ready to take the next step in your finance career? We're working with a forward-thinking organisation that’s looking for an ambitious Finance and Payroll Officer to join their growing finance function. This role offers a blend of operational finance work, payroll duties, and leadership development — making it ideal for someone working towards full professional qualification and seeking long-term progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day finance and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across key financial functions.
  • Assist with preparing budgets, forecasts, and regular management reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure payroll is processed on time and in line with current legislation and internal controls.
  • Support compliance efforts, including audit preparation and adherence to financial regulations.
  • Act as a key support to the finance lead, stepping up in their absence and gaining valuable leadership exposure.

✅ What We're Looking For:

  • AAT Level 3 qualified (minimum) and currently studying or keen to progress to Level 4 and beyond (e.g. CIMA/ACCA).
  • Prior experience in a finance or payroll function — exposure to multi-discipline responsibilities is a plus.
  • A keen eye for detail, strong numeracy skills, and good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Confident communicator who can work independently and show initiative when taking on tasks.
  • A proactive team player with a genuine interest in developing their financial career.
