Matthew has been with Proman for over 20 years and has overseen the growth of the business from an excellent regional recruitment company to a business that has maintained the same level of service on a national scale.

As Co-Managing Director, he is tasked with formulating the direction and strategy for all divisions and ensuring a comprehensive, compliant, and professional service to our clients. He is also responsible for driving innovation and best practice, as well as championing PROMAN's core values and culture across the business.

Jon Derbyshire

Operations Director

Jon joined Proman UK in January 1995 having previously worked at British gas and Shell Chemicals. With 30 years' experience as a recruitment professional, he has a background of contract negotiation & implementation, People Management and Customer Relation Management within the Supply Chain Staffing & Recruitment Industry.  

Jon is our Operations Director with 13 fantastic teams across the Midlands, North-West & Yorkshire who look after over 200 client operations and around 5,000+ Proman workers every week.  We provide logistics & manufacturing operations with everything from Pickers & Packers through to Fork-Lift Operatives & Stock Checkers.

Jon would consider himself a fully-fledged Mancunian having lived in Manchester all his life (other than 3 years of University in Plymouth). He can even boast of my grandfather being one of the Busby Babes team who survived the Munich Air Disaster. He has a love of the outdoors & nature with all his travels (Scotland, Africa, Canada & Australia included so far) planned to get as close to nature as possible; one of the many highlights being that he got less than 6 feet from a group of Killer Whales off Vancouver Island. James Knight-Gregson

Head of Branch Development

James joined PROMAN in 2014, starting as a Resourcer in our Branch Network division. He quickly worked his way into an Account Manager role, before becoming Branch Manager for our Merseyside team in 2016. 

James' success with the Merseyside led to him being appointed in a new role as Area Manager in 2020. He was tasked with developing our footprint across both Merseyside and Greater Manchester, and ensuring consistent service delivery in the area. 

Now, he is Head of Branch Development and tasked with building the PROMAN client base nationally. He is responsible for our Business Development team and for helping companies succeed by trusting PROMAN to solve their supply chain recruitment challenges.  Close

Darren Elliott

Area Manager

Darren started as an Account Manager back in 2003 for our Lancashire division. In 2010, he was promoted to Branch Manager for our Lancashire divsion, where he was tasked with ensuring PROMAN provides a comprehensive, compliant, and professional service to our clients.

In 2020, he became Area Manager, overseeing the Lancashire and Tameside teams. 

A keen Manchester United fan, he enjoys karaoke and travelling to a new capital city each year - his favourite so far is Lisbon!  Close

Paul Burrows

Area Manager

Paul is one of our longest serving colleagues, having started with PROMAN in 2003.

He became Branch Manager of our Elland branch in 2011, before moving into an Area Manager role in 2020 where he is now tasked with developing the West and South Yorkshire regions. 

Paul is an avid Manchester United fan, and in his spare time likes spending time with his family.   Close

Dawid Niedzwiedz

Area Manager

Dawid joined PROMAN in 2021 with 10 years of recruitment experience behind him.

His experience of working with some of the UK's best-known brands made him the perfect choice for the role at PROMAN, and he has continuously improved our service offering in the East Midlands area.

Dawid is a keen videographer and designer, and enjoys keeping fit at the gym.  Close

Rory Young

Area Manager

Rory looks after our 'South' North West region, including our Head Office in Trafford Park. He has 9+ years working in the recruitment sector, starting as an Account Manager for our Heywood branch before progressing to Branch Manager at our Blackburn site. 

He is a Manchester United fan, and enjoys playing football and golf in his spare time.  Close
